The School Board meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the High School library.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Summersville R-II School District is to direct each students' learning so that he/she can become a productive citizen in a changing world.

A Little History...

The original brass Summersville School bell used at the first school in 1888. The bell was found by the late Sylvan Stoops on the grounds of the Church of Christ where the school first met. The bell was purchased by Karen Murtin & Dwain Stoops at the Hometown Reunion Auction on September 10, 2011. Karen and Dwain donated the bell to Summersville Schools where they plan to display it in a trophy case. Click here to see a picture of the bell.
